Jacky and Paul got married on 2nd October 2020 and although there wedding guests were limited to 15, nothing was going to stop them.

Jacky and Paul planned there October wedding knowing that there may be restrictions due to the pandemic that was in full swing at the time, they carried on undeterred. Even when there wedding guest list was reduced to 15, which Jacky found really hard to deal with at the time, their day was planned and nothing was going to stop them. We asked Jacky about their story and here's what she had to say......

How did you meet?

Paul and myself have known each other through a friend since we were in our 20's and we have been in touch for the past 25 years.

How long were you planning your wedding?

We planned our wedding in just 10 weeks, having lived together for the past 8 years we have always talked about it, then one evening whilst chatting away we just decided to go ahead. It seemed that there is no time like the present so we pulled it all together in just 10 short weeks. We chose the Village HotelVillage HotelVillage Village Hotel in Dudley for our ceremony and after party and opted for 2nd October 2020.

Which suppliers did you use?

With no time to waste, I had my dress from Dream Days in Dudley. They are just the BEST, they made me feel so wonderful on the day I said ''Yes to my Dream Days Dress'' I actually cried, I cannot explain how special I felt and for the first time in my life I felt like a princess. I will always remember Tracey and her Team and think of them fondly for being part of our special day. They are professional, warm and so heartfelt in everything that they did for me and I cannot thank them enough.

My cake was made by my Sisters friend, it was beautiful, she is called ''The Cake Mom''. The top tier was victoria sponge and the bottom tier was lemon sponge with elderflower cream, it was delicious. The flowers that decorated the cake were all handmade with icing and it was just wonderful.

My flowers and bouquet were made by Jo at Floral Secrets in Kingswinford, I chose creamy white roses with gypsophila, simply beautiful.

What's your advice to future brides?

My advice would be, get organised, by getting everything ready before your big day you know it's all in hand. It can be stressful but by putting the effort in to plan all the details, on the day you can just relax and enjoy every moment. It truly is the most magical day and its over in a heartbeat, so enjoy every moment.

What was the highlight of your day?

The most memorable part of my day was when Paul saw me walking down the aisle, feeling wonderful in my perfect Dream Days Dress, he cried when he saw me which made me cry too, it was so emotional. Afterwards he told me that he knew I was going to look beautiful, but he was amazed at how beautiful and that meant the world to me. The whole day was just the best experience and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Is there anyone that you would like to thank?

I would like everyone who made the day possible, all the suppliers but especially our bridesmaids, you looked beautiful and of course our families, those that were there and those that couldn't be there but gave their blessing for us to go ahead anyway. Thank you all for making it so special, we love you all millions ❤
