The Mr and Mrs Wintermas stunned with their purple themed sensational wedding. Especially Emma in her dress - Stunning!

Some weddings feel magical before you even hear the details—and the late-August celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Wintermas was exactly that. Set against the elegant backdrop of Edgbaston Park Hotel, their day unfolded with heartfelt moments, joyful surprises, and a few unforgettable twists that will keep this wedding firmly in family folklore.

The New Mr and Mrs Wintermas

A New Name, A New Beginning - One of the most unique and personal touches to their day was their new shared surname. The bride, formerly Winterbottom, and the groom, originally Lomas, chose to merge their names—creating the beautifully distinctive Wintermas. A symbolic blend of their stories, it set the tone for a wedding built on togetherness and creativity.

When the Music Plays Its Own Role…Every wedding has its quirks, and the Wintermas’ ceremony came with one they’ll be laughing about for years. As the bride made her way down the aisle, the venue accidentally left the bar music on—so their vows began to the emotional soundtrack of “All By Myself.” A moment they certainly didn’t plan, but one that became a memorable (and slightly comical) part of their story.

One of the sweetest surprises came from family. Both the bride’s and the groom’s grandmothers arrived—having never met beforehand—wearing almost identical outfits in the exact same colours. A perfect, unplanned symbol of the two families coming together in harmony.

British weather is always unpredictable, and the Wintermas experienced it all in one day. Showers came and went, leaving the couple with a charming mix of dramatic skies and soft sunshine. But nature had one final wedding gift in store: a full rainbow stretching across the sky, appearing just after the speeches.

With a lovely purple theme running throughout their day, the Wintermas’ wedding struck the perfect balance between elegance, personality, and joyful spontaneity. From their meaningful new surname to the rainbow finale, every detail reflected a couple full of love, humour, and heart.
